Terms and conditions

These terms apply to your use of pontefractprint.co.uk and to products and services ordered through the website. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

The website is operated by Pontefract Print and Design Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15790451. Our registered office is 40 Wakefield Road, Ackworth, Pontefract, England, WF7 7AB. Our trading address is 1B, 20 Bondgate, The Old Coach House, Pontefract, West Yorkshire, WF8 2JJ.

Orders and payment

When you place an order, you offer to buy the products shown in your basket. An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance or begin fulfilment. We may decline or cancel an order where payment cannot be authorised, an item is unavailable, pricing or product information is clearly incorrect, or we cannot lawfully produce the requested content. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount paid.

Please check your basket, delivery address and personalisation carefully before placing your order. Prices and available delivery options are shown at checkout. Any applicable delivery charge is added before you confirm payment.

Personalised and bespoke products

Many of our products are made to order using details, photographs or artwork supplied by the customer. You are responsible for checking names, ages, dates, spelling, wording and other selections before submitting the order or approving a proof.

Where a preview or proof is provided, it is intended to help you check the design. We will produce the item using the information or approved proof supplied. Once artwork or production has begun, changes or cancellation may not be possible. Personalised or made-to-specification goods do not normally qualify for change-of-mind cancellation, although your rights remain if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or not produced to the agreed specification.

Please supply clear, suitably high-resolution images. Low-resolution, dark, blurred or heavily cropped images may not reproduce sharply. We may contact you if an obvious technical problem is identified, but we cannot guarantee that every spelling or image-quality issue will be detected.

Customer-supplied content

By uploading or sending photographs, logos, artwork or wording, you confirm that you own the content or have permission to use and reproduce it, and that it does not infringe another person’s rights or break the law. You give us permission to use the content only as needed to prepare, produce and fulfil your order. We may refuse content that we reasonably believe is unlawful or infringes third-party rights.

Product information and print variation

We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Screen settings, materials and printing processes can cause small differences in colour, scale, positioning or finish. Measurements are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise. These normal production variations are not faults, but please contact us if your order differs materially from the agreed specification.

Delivery

Delivery destinations, prices and estimated times are shown at checkout and explained in our Shipping Policy. Personalised products may require production time before dispatch. Please allow suitable time when ordering for a particular event. We are responsible for the goods until delivered to you, except where you arrange your own carrier.

Returns and problems

Cancellations, returns, repairs, replacements and refunds are handled under our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy. Please contact us promptly if your order is faulty, damaged, incorrect or has not arrived.

Website and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website content and our designs, text, graphics and branding belong to Pontefract Print and Design Ltd or our licensors. They may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission. Ownership of customer-supplied content remains with its owner.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights concerning goods. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

Privacy and third-party services

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our store is hosted by Shopify and we may use service providers, including personalisation, payment, delivery and fulfilment providers, to process and complete orders.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when your order is placed will apply to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without removing any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
